Faithfulness would have to be the theme of the “season” I am currently in. It is so true that God is faithful, even we are faithless. Everytime I think about how faithful God has been (not just in this season, but my whole life) I can’t help but smile.
The Presence.
I had a pretty awesome experience. A few days ago, I was driving home from work. Right before I left work, I purchased the new album entitled “Your Love Never Fails,” with Chris Quilala, Kim Walker, and Melissa How. My radio doesn’t work too well in my truck, and you certainly can’t listen to your iPod w/ in-ears while driving (been there, done that, have the tv shirt)…just too dangerous. Luckily, I loaded the CD onto my iPhone before I left. I was so stoked to hear it. The song “Your Love Never Fails” was the first song on the album (my fave). I started driving, and turned the song on. I instantly felt the presence of God in my truck.
Pretty quickly, I was convicted. Not in a bad way at all. Just was saddened by the fact that sometimes I limit the presence of God to a weekend service, worship times, or prayer meetings.
Why can’t God show up, even when we are playing a worshipful CD through your stinkin’ iPhone speakers? (Not downplaying the iPhone speakers, cause they are pretty good, but you know what I mean) Well I am so glad he can! I am so in awe with the fact that he never leaves us or forsakes us. God inhabiting the praises of his people really became alive to me.
